Altabank’s Charitable Contributions in 2023 Support Organizations Creating Positive Change

12/12/23  | Kinsey Love, Digital Marketing Manager

Every year, Altabank contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations in our community that are working to effect positive change. In 2023, Altabank contributed $1,042,000 to organizations that support worthwhile efforts that improve our state and communities.

Altabank’s contributions focus on areas that greatly impact our communities:

  1. Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention
  2. Water Use & Conservation for our State
  3. Mental Health Awareness
  4. Affordable Housing

This year we teamed up with Real Salt Lake to donate money for water conservation awareness, specifically for the Great Salt Lake. We participated in the Saves for the Great Salt Lake program and with the help of Real Salt Lake, reached a goal of $10,000 for funds for the Great Salt Lake.

In October, Governor Spencer Cox declared October 2 as Domestic Violence Awareness Day marking a significant step towards addressing the critical issue of domestic violence in Utah. Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson and Senator Luz Escamilla added their voices in support of the cause in a remarkable press conference at the Utah State Capital. As attention and awareness were brought to the cause, Altabank also contributed monetarily to organizations like CAPSA, DOVE Center, The Refuge, South Valley Services, and the Washington County Children’s Justice Center that support victims of domestic violence.

In other efforts to make a positive impact in our communities, employees of Altabank have donated over 700 volunteer hours in 2023 giving their time to unload food at food banks, sort through clothing at shelters, shop for those in need, among many other moments of service. Altabank employees also hold 53 board and community positions.

Utah is home to many community organizations who work to lift our citizens and improve our communities. There is a tradition of charity and good will in our communities and Altabank is proud to have the opportunity to contribute and support the positive efforts.
