You may also set up push notifications to alert concerning your current balance. In some cases, mobile banking can be utilized with other budgeting apps to help thoroughly monitor the account.

Are Online Banking and Mobile Banking Safe?

Online and mobile banking are safe options to use for banking. However, we do urge users to take certain precautions. 

  • Secure Access
    When accessing your online banking account, be sure to use a secure connection when logging in on any devices. For mobile banking, be sure to download the verified app, and avoid using public Wi-Fi networks to access your account. Having secure access for both options also requires making sure all devices and applications are up to date. 
  • Verification
    We recommend signing up for online banking alerts as well as push notification for mobile banking. These alerts will allow you to review any suspicious activity. Mobile banking apps allow users the benefit of two-factor or multi-factor authentication. Organizations will usually send a code to gain access to the account but will never require you to click a link.
  • Password Safety
    For both online and mobile banking, we recommend a strong password utilizing a combination of capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. We recommend changing your password every 2 months. Prior to 2022, cybersecurity experts recommended passwords be at least 8-10 characters long. They are now recommending passwords be 12-14 characters long.

You may also enroll online if your email address is on file. Our online enrollment will require your Social Security Number or TIN, your account number, and email address. During this process a verification link will be sent to the email we have on file. This link will direct you to a secure web page with your secure account information, so you must click the link within one hour to complete your enrollment.
