Altabank Shootout Official Rules
1. Binding Agreement
a. By participating in this giveaway, you agree to be bound by these rules (“Official Rules”).

2. No Purchase is Necessary
a. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

4. Term and Agreement
a. Term
i. Entry into the ALTABANK Shootout starts November 2022 and ends on the last day of the regular Utah high school basketball season at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. ALTABANK’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Shootout. All winners will be notified upon completion of that day's Shootout.
b. Agreement
i. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules.
5. Eligibility
a. To be eligible, you must be a full-time high school student at the home team's school, and a lawful permanent resident of the United States and a resident of Utah or Idaho. Contest void where prohibited by law. This contest is void outside of Utah and Idaho. Employees of ALTABANK, officials, and members of their immediate families residing at the same address, are not eligible to participate in the giveaway. By entering the Shootout, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of ALTABANK.
6. How to Enter
a. Entry
i. To enter, contestants must submit their name prior to the start of the contest as specified by the host school.
7. Publicity Release
a. Consent to Publicity and Release: By accepting a Prize, each Prize Winner 18 years of age and older consents to permit ALTABANK to utilize his/her name and likeness in promotional and other ALTABANK materials, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
b. Winners below age 18 years will be asked to complete a release, co-signed by a parent or legal guardian, before likeness is used.
8. Shootout Prizes
a. Description
i. The winner will receive a prize to be determined by the contest and the school at which the contest is held. Prize will not exceed value of $100 but may be less at the Bank’s and high school’s discretion.
ii. To win, the participant must complete the contest as presented at the participating high school.
b. Odds of Winning:
i. Odds of participation are based upon the number of eligible participants in the drawing. Odds of winning are determined by the ability to complete the contest as presented at the participating high school.
9. Notification of Winners
a. Prize winners will be notified upon successful completion of the Shootout requirements.
b. Upon receiving the prize the winner will be asked to complete the Altabank Standard Release, authorizing Altabank to use the winner’s name and likeness in social media. Winners under age 18 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian co-sign.
10. Delivery of Prizes
a. The winner will receive their prize upon completion of the contest and signature of release from Altabank.
11. Liability
a. General Liability Rules
i. ALTABANK is not responsible for any loss that may occur in connection with the Giveaway. Each Prize Winner agrees to hold ALTABANK harmless from any liability arising from participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, receipt, possession, or misuse of the Prize. ALTABANK and each of its officers, directors, employees, customers and representatives and agents are not responsible for any negligence, claims, liability, injury, property loss, or other damages of entrants and/or Prize Winners arising from, or in connection with acceptance, receipt, possession, or
use/misuse of prizes awarded or participation in the Giveaway.
b. Liability for Technical Difficulties/Corruption
i. ALTABANK is not responsible for any problems with your entry, including technical failures related to computer, telephone, cable, email, internet traffic congestion, and unavailable network or server connections, or other failures related to hardware, software or virus, or incomplete, late or misdirected entries. ALTABANK is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by tampering, hacking, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with the Giveaway. Furthermore, if there is any suspected evidence of tampering, hacking or interference associated with the Giveaway beyond the reasonable control of ALTABANK and their affiliates which corrupts or impairs the administration, security or fairness of the Giveaway, ALTABANK reserves the right to disqualify any entrant deemed responsible for such corruption, suspend and/or terminate the Giveaway and select Prize Winners from the entries received up to the time of such termination or suspension. ALTABANK is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Giveaway or in the announcement of late prizes.
12. Prize Non-Transferable, Non-Assignable & Non-Exchangeable
a. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at ALTABANK's discretion. The right to receive a Prize is non- transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable. Prizes cannot be substituted or converted to cash by the Winner.
13. List of Winners
a. For a listing of Giveaway Winner or a set of these Official Rules, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to ALTABANK, Att. Marketing Department - List and Rules statements 33 East Main St., American Fork, UT 84003.
13. Right to Cancel or Suspend Giveaway
a. If for any reason the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of ALTABANK that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Giveaway, ALTABANK reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Giveaway. In such event, no
prizes will be awarded.
14. Tax Issues
a. ALTABANK will report all Prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. Prize Winners are responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prize(s).
15. Choice of Law
a. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and ALTABANK in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to choice of law rules.
16. Severability
a. If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
17. Intellectual Property
a. Entrants certify that their entry is original and that they are the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder of the submitted entry and that they have the right to submit the entry in the Giveaway. Each entrant agrees not to participate in the Giveaway in any manner that might (1) infringe any third-party proprietary, intellectual property, industrial property, personal rights or other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or confidentiality obligation; or (2) otherwise violate applicable law in any countries in the world. By registering for the giveaway and/or submitting an entry you agree explicitly that you are the sole and exclusive owner and rights holders of all components of your entry. Any intellectual property infringement, misuse, or plagiarism of another person's work in any form or state will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of eligibility to receive all awards, recognition, and prizes.
18. Privacy Notice
a. By participating in this Giveaway, you agree that we can collect your personal information, and that if we cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to participate in the Giveaway. Any personal information collected during the course of the competition by ALTABANK will only be used for administering this Giveaway and for other purposes as outlined in these Rules and will be subject to the practices described in the ALTABANK’S Privacy Policy.
