Altabank Launches “Bridging the Gap Food Drive” to Support Utahns Facing Food Insecurity
November 6, 2025 — In response to a rise in food insecurity in Utah communities, Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank and Utah’s largest community bank is launching the Bridging the Gap Food Drive to help Utah families struggling to make ends meet. The food drive will run from November 10 through November 24, collecting food, goods, and monetary donations at all Altabank branches.
Recent data shows that approximately 86,000 Utah households, orabout one in every 20 residents, are currently without vital food assistance. For many, this means choosing between paying bills and putting food on the table.
“Nobody should have to worry about where their next meal will come from,” said Terry Grant, President of Altabank. “We’re seeing real people—our neighbors, friends, and families—impacted by food insecurity. Our goal is to come together as a community to help bridge that gap and make a meaningful difference during this challenging time.”
Donations of non-perishable food items, household essentials, and monetary contributions can be dropped off at any Altabank branch through November 24. All items collected will be donated to Altabank’s community partners: The Cache Community Food Pantry, Tabitha’s Way, Utah Food Bank, and Switchpoint.
Grant added, “At Altabank, we believe in the power of community. When times get tough, Utahns always step up for one another—and this food drive is a way for all of us to lend a helping hand.”
