Altabank Donates $5,000 to William A. Burnard Warming Center
Logan, Utah — March 7, 2026 — At the March 7 USU men’s basketball home game, Altabank™, Division of Glacier Bank, presented a $5,000 donation to the William A. Burnard Warming Center in Logan, Utah, following the successful “Warming Cache Valley” community goods drive held throughout the winter in partnership with Utah State University Athletics.
The Warming Cache Valley drive invited community members to donate essential food, clothing, and everyday items needed by individuals seeking shelter at the Warming Center during the coldest months of the year. Donations were collected at Altabank branches across Cache Valley and at Utah State University winter athletic events, including men’s basketball and gymnastics meets.
Through the generosity of community members, Aggie fans, and local businesses, the drive gathered a wide range of critical supplies, including:
• Paper bowls & towels
• Plastic forks and spoons
• Flavored shelf-stable milk
• Pull-tab, single-serve microwaveable meals and soups
• Shelf-stable beef jerky & cheese
• Protein shakes
• Individual cereal boxes
• Granola bars
• Rolls of quarters for laundry
• Small gift cards to local restaurants, gas stations, or grocery stores
• New men’s socks
• New men’s underwear
In addition to these donated goods, Altabank presented the Warming Center with a $5,000 financial contribution to help support ongoing operations and services.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Altabank, Utah State Athletics, and the entire Cache Valley community,” said Heather Crockett, Executive Director of the William A. Burnard Warming Center. “The Warming Cache Valley drive provided essential items that help us care for individuals seeking a safe, warm place during the winter months. Community partnerships like this make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Altabank leaders also expressed appreciation for the community’s strong response to the effort.
“The generosity we saw through the Warming Cache Valley drive reflects the best of this community,” said Randy Fischer, Altabank Region President. “We’re grateful to our partners at Utah State Athletics, the Hurd, and to everyone who donated items or contributed in some way. Together we’re helping ensure our neighbors have the support they need during the winter.”
The William A. Burnard Warming Center provides a safe overnight shelter during the winter for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in Cache Valley. The center offers temporary overnight refuge, access to water, snacks, warm clothing, and information about community programs and resources. By ensuring that no one spends a single night unsheltered and alone during winter months, the W.A.B. Warming Center embodies the community's recognition of the inherent dignity and worth of every individual.
Altabank extends a heartfelt thanks to the community, Utah State Athletics, and all participants who helped make the Warming Cache Valley drive a success.
